Television Commercial Hits Home

Well here we are at the end of another week already! Not much happened this weekend, I had some work to do from home so my mornings were busy. Jeff was down on Sunday to work on the living room . . . I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! For those of you who don't know we have been re-doing our living room, since last summer! Our friend Jeff offered to help us out with this project and boy did he get in over his head! (sorry Jeff!) This project has caused so many headaches. Just a word to the wise, if you are going to rip down a celing in your house make sure you have a good idea of what you are getting into. When our house was built they used blown in insulation in the attic . . . use your imagination and visualize what our living room looked like after the celing started to get ripped down, wish I would have had my camera handy because whatever you are visualizing multiply it by 100 and then you might be close! Anyway it looks much better now and a few more weekends should finish it up, YIPPIE!!! :o)

Here is a picture of Sydney's birthday dinner at Swiss Chalet(Jan 1, 07), boy was she surprised when they came out clapping their hands and singing to her, the look on her face was priceless!

Larry and I were watching tv this week and while we were skipping through commercials on caught my attention. I was so touched , we watched it over and over. This commercial made me very glad to be an RBC customer. For anyone interested click here to watch, let me know what you think in my comments.

2007 - Year of the ...

PIG

Years: 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019, 2031

THE FIRE PIG 1947 AND 2007

Pig personality traits:

Active, outgoing and extroverted, Fire Pigs breathe new life into everything they do. These Pigs are vivid, motivated individuals who cannot be deterred from a goal once they have set it. They are emotional and passionate about their loved ones, their occupations and their objectives. They are bold and vivacious, unafraid to take risks despite the consequences. They make great bosses because they do work so hard and because they are so spirited. But don’t doublecross a Fire Pig. They have the ability to be quite abrasive when things don’t turn out as they planned.

Intellectually curious, honest and tolerant, those born in the Year of the Pig can be relied upon for their loyalty and often make true friends for life.
Like the knights of old, Pigs are often highly regarded for their chilvary and pureness of heart, and will often sacrifice their own well-being for the greater good.

The Pig can be very naive, however, and may easily fall victim to the unscrupulous who take advantage of their idealistic nature - as Pigs see everyone as loyal and caring as they are. Although forced to play the fool many times, they will just as likely hold fast to the notion that everyone is at heart decent and admirable.

Stubbornly optimistic, the Pig will not tolerate those with well-meaning advice on how to be a Pig, but since they dislike quarreling and discord their anger usually cools quickly. Sometimes looked upon as a snob, the Pig just finds it right and natural to exhibit good manners whenever possible. Their main goal in life is in serving others, and no matter how difficult circumstances become the Pig will never waiver or retreat, forging ahead in the sure knowledge that all will be well.

Pig people love to read, are generally thirsty for knowledge, and not readily talkative, but if presented with an opportunity to discuss topics of interest with like-minded individuals Pigs may find themselves talking non-stop for hours!
People born in the Year of the Pig are trusted associates in whatever career they happen to choose and often shine as entertainers, social activists or politicians.
Pigs are most compatible with : Rabbit, Sheep

Another New Year!

Well back to reality after the holidays. What a great Christmas we had this year! Sydney was with us most of the time I had off of work and we were all very busy. Now we have lost of cleaning up and re-organizing to do. Very soon we will begin the HUGE task of taking everything from the "spare room" so that we can transform it into the "baby's room". I am so EXCITED!!

As most of you know we have the baby's name picked out already but we are keeping it a secret. I feel silly just calling her "baby" when I talk about her on here when she does actually have a name, so for blogger purposes I have decided to refer to her on here as MAGGIE. This is one of my favorite names in the world, of course I love the name we picked too (Larry didn't like the name Maggie that is why we are not actually calling her that).

I took so many pictures over Christmas that it was hard to decide which ones to put on here but here are a few for now. Maybe I will post more later.
